Michael has over 15 years of coaching experience and has developed numerous players who have gone on to compete provincially and nationally. He has worked as provincial and touring coach for Tennis BC. He has also helped many adult and junior players develop a passion for playing tennis. He is currently a Tennis Canada Course Facilitator and leads courses and workshops to help grow tennis in Canada.
Zack was born and raised in Montreal, where he was a junior development coach at one of Canada's largest and most successful tennis centres, the Nun's Island Tennis Club. He has worked with players competing on the international, national, and provincial stages, some of whom have gone on to win National and ITF Junior titles. He has also worked for Tennis BC at Nationals and the Provincial Training Camps, and was chosen by Tennis Canada to assist the Team Canada at the 2019 Junior Davis Cup. Zack also has experience as a travelling coach on the WTA tour.
Peter grew up in Coquitlam where he represented BC as a competitive junior player on the national stage. He has 10+ years of coaching experience specializing in developing young children to become high performance players.
Peter has also successfully run Tennis BC tournaments for the past 5 years, creating a friendly and competitive environment for all participants.
Will Downing is the Head of Strength and Conditioning and Fitness at The Tennis Centre. His previous work has seen him in both UK and in China where he has worked both in high-performance sport and personal training.
Originally from the UK, he has a strong educational background with 3 different degrees in the subjects of sport, rehab and strength and conditioning. He has worked at world-renowned ISOKINETIC in London for sports rehabilitation and at the professional level in Rugby, Soccer and Fencing.
Patrick is from the Okanagan. As a junior competitor he represented BC in the Under 12 to Under 18 Indoor and Outdoor Nationals. In BC, he won the U16 indoor and U18 outdoor provincial single titles.
At university, he was co-captain of the SFU tennis team.
Patrick has been coaching for over 5 years as a coach for the Junior Development Program at Burnaby Tennis Club and the Tennis Centre.
Dominik has experience as a club coach for five years, and volunteered as a high school coach for another two years prior to entering the tennis industry. Working with all ages of students in the developmental and competitive fields of tennis he has three years of experience teaching and coaching in the Tennis Canada Little Aces Program.
In addition to coaching athletes and competing in junior and adult events, Dominik is currently in the Douglas College BPEC program to graduate with a degree in Coaching and Physical Education.
Daire has 3 years of experience coaching in the strength and conditioning industry. In 2017, he worked with Tennis Ireland, focusing on the physical development of Irelands national academy players.
Daire previously worked with our high-performance athletes as a strength and conditioning coach, however has now transitioned to being a tennis coach at the club. He works mainly with our younger players, coaching in our developmental and competitive programmes in Coquitlam, as well as coaching in our seasonal camps and adult programmes.
Nicole is a former competitive player. She has a sport science certificate and is currently enrolled in a bachelors in coaching and physical education. CPR-C and first aid certified.
Hassan is recognized nationally as a tennis professional who displays the highest standard of conduct and service to
tennis, both on and off the court. Over the past 12 years, he has played a significant role in player, program, and coach
development in clubs and communities, particularly in Coquitlam, BC.
Hassan is a compassionate coach dedicated to the personal growth and well-being of the players he is working with. He
is also a Tennis Canada course facilitator where he shares his experience with coaches and individuals who are eager to
grow the game.
Larry is recognized world wide as a leader in Player, Program, and Coach development. He has
developed players that have competed in every Grand Slam, represented their country in Davis
Cup and Fed Cup, and have won over 40 nation championships.
He has designed the curriculum for the highest level of coach education in Canada
and the U.K. and trained their national coaches. He worked as a National Coach for Tennis
China in the lead up to the London Olympics.
